Terms of Service

Effective August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and JPHB Software, Inc., a Colorado, USA corporation doing business as FigureGenie ("FigureGenie," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using figuregenie.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FigureGenie is an AI-assisted studio for creating engineering and scientific figures. It lets you describe or converse your way to a figure, generate figures grounded in an uploaded manuscript, plot data as deterministic charts, model geometry in a CAD workspace, edit vector labels, and render illustrations and patent-style drawings. Composing and editing are free; rendering a final AI-painted image consumes credits as described below.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you register, for maintaining access to it (sign-in is by emailed magic link), and for all activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Notify us at support@figuregenie.ai if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. Credits, Plans, and Billing

• What credits buy. 1 credit = 1 successfully rendered image. Composing, editing, charts, and CAD work never consume credits. Failed renders are never charged.
• Free plan. New accounts include a starting allotment of free renders so you can evaluate the Service.
• Subscriptions. Pro and Studio subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. Monthly credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle, and unused monthly credits roll over for up to 90 days from the date they were granted, after which they expire.
• Credit Packs. Purchased credit packs never expire and are consumed after any available monthly credits.
• Idle courtesy-pause. If you do not sign in for 90 days while on a paid subscription, we automatically pause your subscription's renewal at the end of the current billing period as a courtesy, so you are not billed for a service you are not using. Your account and any unexpired credits are unaffected, and you can resume the subscription at any time through the billing portal.
• Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time through the self-serve billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your plan benefits until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• Price changes. We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content; abuse the free tier (for example by creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free renders); probe, disrupt, or overload the Service; resell access without our written permission; or attempt to extract our models, prompts, or software. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your Content and Your Outputs

You own the content you upload (manuscripts, data, sketches, CAD files) and you own the figures and outputs you generate with the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including for commercial use. This applies to every figure and output you generate — whether created on the free plan or on a paid plan. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.

6. Our Intellectual Property

FigureGenie owns the Service — the software, models' orchestration, designs, templates, and branding. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the right to use it as described here.

7. AI-Generated Content

Outputs are generated by AI systems and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or artifacts. You are responsible for verifying the technical and scientific accuracy of any figure before publishing, filing, or otherwise relying on it. FigureGenie does not provide engineering, scientific, or legal advice, and patent-style drawings are not a substitute for review by qualified patent counsel.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FigureGenie will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting support@figuregenie.ai. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Colorado have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, and each party consents to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give notice through the Service or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
